SBCSC Scholarship Recipients recognized at Senior Awards Nights
Representatives from SBCSC Scholarship Committee attended the Senior Awards Nights at three local high schools recognizing the SBCSC scholarship award recipients on May 19 and May 21, 2026.
In Memory of Leslie Young (1945-2026)
It is with great sadness that we convey the news of the passing of Leslie Young on April 18 2026. Leslie was a long-time SBCC member of South Bay Chinese Club and a supporter of various SBCC/SBCSC programs.
Combined Board of Director and General Members Meeting
A combined SBCC Board meeting and General Meeting was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Carlton Senior Living in Fremont, CA.
SBCSC also held a Board meeting to pass the acceptance of a proposed Bylaws for the “merged” SBCC.

In Memory of Calvin Wong (1929-2026)
It is with great sadness that we convey the news of the passing of Calvin Wong on May 4, 2026. Calvin was a long-time SBCC member of South Bay Chinese Club and an ardent supporter of the SBCSC Scholarship program.
2026 SBCSC Scholarship Awards Banquet
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, twenty-six graduating seniors from the Tri-city area and Milpitas received their scholarships at the SBCSC Scholarship Awards Banquet at Pearl Bay Restaurant, Fremont.

On Sunday, March 3, 2026, SBCC celebrated Chinese New Year with members and friends at the Mayflower Restaurant in Milpitas.
SBCC and CBC Celebrated the Holidays with the residents at the Carlton Senior Living in Fremont
On Friday, December 12, 2025, SBCC and CBC celebrated the holidays with the residents of Carlton Senior Living in Fremont. Entertainment included the Dream Achievers Band and a visit by Santa.
SBCC Members participated in the Kids Against Hunger Meal Packing Event
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, 7 SBCC members and 2 youth members participated in an engaging community event through Kids Against Hunger (KAH) Fremont, at Bridges Community Church, helping to pack a total of 32,000 vegetarian rice meals to serve those facing hunger.
2025 Elders Dim Sum Brunch
On Friday, October 10, 2025, SBCC celebrated our octogenarians (80 years+) and nonagenarians (90 years+) members by treating them to a dim sum brunch at Pearl Bay Restaurant.
SBCC 60th Anniversary Celebration
On September 20, 2025, SBCC celebrated its 60th anniversary with a Diamond Dynasty Casino Night at the South Fremont Age Well Center.
