Combined Board of Director and General Members Meeting

A combined Board of Directors and General Members Meeting was held on May 9, 2026 at the Carlton Senior Living in Fremont, CA.

A separate South Bay Chinese Service Club Board of Directors meeting was held between the two SBCC meetings. The Directors voted unanimously to approved a proposed draft of the SBCC Bylaws for the merged SBCC/SBCSC organization. The official paperwork will be submitted to the government within two weeks to merge the two organizations into a single 501(C)(3) organization retaining the name of South Bay Chinese Club.

During the General Members Meeting, a keynote speaker, Michelle Zhang, Founder & CEO of Society of Heart’s Delight introduced her organiztion to the SBCC members. This non-profit organization, based in San Jose, have similar mission statement as SBCC with an emphasis on providing programs and events supporting Chinese immigrants to establish a foothold in the Silicon Valley areas.
